This magnificent new home was designed by an AIA award-winning architect, and consists of 3100 interior and 3000 exterior square-feet. It was designed to maximize the gorgeous sea and Buck Island views by day, and the twinkling lights of Christiansted by night. The house has a wonderful feel to it; you will never want to leave!
The heart of the house is a covered outdoor pavilion that includes a living area, dining table, grilling station, wet bar, and features a pristine saline pool that can be kept at the selected temperature via a solar controller. A changing room is on the lower level, where there is also an abundance of storage.
The master suite boasts his and her bathrooms, a walk in closet with built-ins, a large laundry room, a sewing room and an office. There’s also a spacious outdoor shower (private, but open), plenty big enough for two to enjoy!
The main pod features a great room complete with a fabulous entertainment area, dining space, kitchen, pantry and powder room. The cabinets in the kitchen and all other built in cabinets throughout the house (and there are many) are custom-made African Mahogany. A large island surfaced with a single slab of Brazilian Jurassic Green granite, a full 30mm thick, provides ample space for cooking, eating, and entertaining.
Other features include a two-car garage and a 20Kw propane fueled Cummins-Onan Generator, which will run the entire house and is fully automated to start and stop upon electric service interruption and subsequent restoration. Solar panels power the hot water systems.
